Each year we try to recognize and congratulate the kids in the neighborhood who have made it to the finish line in either high school or college. GRADUATION DAY!
It’s an exciting time for families, and we wanted to make sure that we offer sincere congratulations to all of the graduating seniors in the neighborhood this year.
Ben Wogen is graduating from Farmington High School and is off to Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, where he will study engineering. Go Boilermakers!!
Alec Bohlman – Alec played baseball, track, and football. He is a Peer Leader. He has been a member of the History Day Team for seven years; in 2015 and 2017, Alec won the CT History Day State Competition for his documentaries. His senior year accomplishments were to maintain first honors all four semesters, place in the top 3 spots in the documentary category at both the regional and state level competitions for the CT History Day Competition, was a member of the Capstone Team and taught Capstone classes to juniors. Alec was FHS football team’s first player of the week for the 2016-2017 and was named the “Defensive Player of the Year’ in this final year of football. He is graduating from Farmington High School. He will continue his academic career at UMass-Amherst next year where he will double major in political science and history with a minor in journalism. Go Minutemen!!
Hally Dopp is graduating from Farmington High School where she played varsity tennis all four years. Next year she is off to the Big 10 and the University of Wisconsin! Go Badgers!!
Clayton Herr Played varsity football two years and basketball four years. Member of National Honor Society and FHS Executive Vice President. Spanish Honor Society. Will major in Business and Finance in the Farmer School of Business at Miami of Ohio.
Danny Mahonski – Graduating from Farmington High School. Played varsity football and was named Lineman of The Year as a senior. Also played on the golf team, lacrosse, and track and field. Will attend the University of Dayton in the fall.
Samantha Wang – Graduated from Northwest Catholic in West Hartford. Will study next year at Adrian College in Michigan. Interests in HS: Science and Psychology. Studying: Psychology and Biology. Was on team esprit throughout high school, now skating in college. Was a member of national honors society and graduated with highest honors.
Bethany Pilon – Graduating from Farmington High School where she competed in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. Bethany will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall where she plans to study Animal Science and will be on a Pre-Veterinary track. Go Huskies!!
Paige Freckleton – Graduated from Farmington High School. Played varsity volleyball at FHS and hopes to continue to play for fun in college. Paige will attend Fairfield University in the fall and will be pursuing a marketing degree. Go Stags!!!
Chike Onyiuke – Graduating from Farmington High School. Plans to study psychology with a goal of being a social worker. Will attend Tunxis Community College in the fall.
Thomas Peters – Graduated from Farmington High School. Played varsity football three years. Will attend Union College in the fall.
